Recent share market losses mitigated by investment strategy

You may be aware of the recent declines in both local and international share markets. These recent falls have been primarily in response to continued uncertainty in the Chinese economy, evidenced by declines in their share market and continued devaluation of the Chinese Yuan. 

Superstream - your time is up!

If you are a medium to large employer (20 or more employees), the deadline for becoming SuperStream compliant has passed. The ATO has announced that from 1 November they will be focussing on employers who have been identified as non-compliant with SuperStream. 

You are no longer permitted by legislation to provide contributions via cheque or paper remittances – all contributions must be made electronically with linked data and payments.

Industry super fund for the creative community Media Super has announced the doubling of its revolving loan fund for Australian film and TV production, from $30 million to $60 million.

A Centrelink schedule details your personal and financial information for Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs assessment. It’s used to help work out your entitlement to a pension or other government income stream.

Annual Fee Indexation

As detailed in our Product Disclosure Statements, Media Super’s Exit fee and Family Law fees are indexed on 1 April each year in line with AWOTE (Average Weekly Time Earnings for full-time adult persons, private sector) as measured at the end of the prior November.
