Coronavirus preparedness – Ensuring business as usual
As the Coronavirus (COVID–19) health emergency, now declared a pandemic, continues we want to assure our members and employers that Media Super is protecting the health of our employees and ensuring that business can continue as usual.
Media Super has business continuity plans in place for a variety of scenarios, including a pandemic, so we are well prepared.
To protect the health and safety of our employees, we are taking a number of steps:
- promoting preventative measures and good hygiene practices
- enacting self-isolation measures for any employees who have returned from overseas, have been in close contact with some who has a confirmed case of COVID–19, or who are high risk of having been in contact with someone with the virus
- enacting flexible working arrangements for employees who are considered to be most at risk from serious infection.
Unfortunately, we are unable to meet with you in-person via workplace visits, appointments or meetings for the moment.
We are working closely with our service providers to ensure they also have appropriate plans and measures in place to make sure that member and employer services (such as the Helpline) and administration and processing continue.
We are monitoring the situation and following advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian and state governments. We will review and adjust our actions as the situation and advice evolves.
